International Women’s Day Celebration & Support Handover

FIPMO observed International Women’s Day 2026 through a meaningful program at Nepal Snehi Kaakha, Dhapakhel, combining awareness activities with community support initiatives. The event was successfully coordinated by Bijay Karmacharya and family, with valuable contributions from 17 FIPMO members who collectively raised NPR 211,000. The support included essential food, hygiene, clothing, stationery, and sports materials for the residents and school-going children. Members also expressed their commitment to supporting the center’s future infrastructure development, reflecting FIPMO’s continued dedication to social responsibility and community welfare.

Summary Report of the FIPMO organized Webinar on the impact of Covid-19 in Nepal 12 September 2021

FIPMO organized a webinar to assess the multifaceted impact of COVID-19 in Nepal and explore practical solutions across public health, economy, agriculture, education, gender equality, and logistics. Experts from multilateral organizations highlighted the pandemic's effects on health systems, livelihoods, learning outcomes, vulnerable populations, and social inequalities. The discussions emphasized the importance of stronger public health measures, equitable social protection, improved education recovery strategies, gender-responsive policies, and effective coordination among government, communities, and development partners. The webinar concluded with FIPMO reaffirming its commitment to providing expert, pro-bono support to help Nepal strengthen resilience and accelerate post-pandemic recovery.

Chepang Self-help Project

Greetings!  As informed you earlier, I took a planned pre-project implementation visit to Self-help Repair and Maintenance Shelter Initiative from 24 November to 26 November.  On early morning (7:00 am) of 25 November, together with my school friend Uttam KC and Ujjwal, a Sai Youth Coordinator from Narayan Ghat who had volunteered to help me, we departed. After some two and half hour of drive from the base in Nawalpur, where I had put myself, to Bhandara, it took us some another three and half hour to drive a distance of 28 km to meeting site to Ramirang Danda where all the heads / representatives of  beneficiary families were gathered for meeting.

Interim Report on Self-help Repair and Maintenance Project for Chepangs

This interim report outlines the initiation of the FIPMO Self-help Shelter Repair and Maintenance Project for Chepang families, one of Nepal’s most marginalized communities. The field mission (24–28 December 2020) focused on distributing construction materials and winterization support. Despite logistical challenges due to difficult road conditions, all materials—including corrugated sheets, nails, tools, and blankets—were successfully delivered and acknowledged by beneficiaries in Kali Chaur, Ramirang Danda.The project’s first phase has been initiated, with beneficiaries committed to completing house repairs within the stipulated timeframe. While planned support from external agencies such as WFP, WaterAid, and UNHCR was not secured, procurement efficiencies resulted in significant budget savings. The remaining funds (Rs. 308,192) are proposed for use in the second phase of the project, subject to donor approval.

FIPMO AFCAN and DDC seminar_Dec 2025

On December 7, 2025, AFCAN, CDD, and FIPMO jointly organized a high-level national talk programme titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Implications for Nepal” in Gwarko, Lalitpur. Bringing together senior diplomats, policymakers, and AI experts, the event explored AI’s growing role in foreign policy, governance, economic development, and digital sovereignty. Speakers emphasized the need for Nepal to adopt proactive AI policies, strengthen technological self-reliance, and harness AI to transform key sectors while addressing emerging ethical and cybersecurity challenges.

On May 7, 2024, FIPMO, AFNA, and AFCAN jointly organized a half-day seminar in Kathmandu on “Strategies for a Dynamic, Effective, and Development-Oriented Foreign Policy.” The programme brought together distinguished diplomats, academics, and foreign policy experts to discuss the evolving nature of diplomacy, emphasizing the growing role of non-state actors, the importance of collaboration in international relations, and the need for consistent, development-oriented foreign policy backed by effective implementation.
