Former International Professionals of Multilateral Organizations (FIPMO) Sixth General Meeting: Strengthening Protection for Migrant Workers

At its Sixth General Meeting held on 5 September 2024 at The Lawn, Pulchowk, FIPMO discussed the growing challenges of labour migration and the protection of migrant workers' rights. The meeting highlighted issues such as exploitation, trafficking, gender-based vulnerabilities, reintegration of returnee migrants, and the need for safe, dignified, and accountable migration systems. Members also explored how FIPMO can support government initiatives through advocacy, awareness, collaboration, and the development of a flagship programme to strengthen migrant worker protection throughout the migration cycle.
