Panel Discussion on Nepal’s Economic Challenges

The first General Meeting following FIPMO’s 8th Annual General Meeting was held on 11 May 2025 at Indreni Suites, Baneshwor, bringing together FIPMO members, spouses, and guests.

The programme featured a panel discussion on “Navigating Nepal’s Economic Challenges: Pathways to Recovery.” Distinguished speakers Dr. Niraj Poudyal, Dr. Posh Raj Pandey, Dr. Tilak Rawal, and Dr. Kushum Shakya shared their perspectives on Nepal’s economic trajectory, policy challenges, and opportunities for inclusive and sustainable recovery.

The discussion covered evidence-based economic policy, fiscal discipline, domestic production and trade competitiveness, the contribution of migrant workers and remittances, and the importance of good governance and transparency in public spending.

FIPMO members also actively participated in the discussion, drawing on their professional experience and international exposure. The programme highlighted FIPMO’s role in facilitating informed dialogue and contributing professional perspectives to issues of national importance.
