Meeting with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah

A delegation of FIPMO members led by Chairman Bhai Raja Panday met with Mayor Balen Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to introduce FIPMO, its objectives, activities, and its interest in extending professional expertise to support the municipality in areas of mutual relevance.

The delegation discussed potential areas of collaboration, including planning and management, improved governance, training, water and sanitation, public health, disaster relief and recovery, monitoring and evaluation, gender equity, and grassroots development.

The FIPMO team also met with Deputy Mayor Ms. Sunita Dangol, who welcomed FIPMO’s initiative and expressed interest in the concept of “Silver Volunteering” and the possibility of collaboration.

The meetings concluded with an understanding that FIPMO would provide KMC with a list of relevant experts and that follow-up discussions would be held to explore potential areas of cooperation.
