Extraordinary General Meeting on Amendments to the FIPMO Statute

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of FIPMO was held virtually on Sunday, 27 June 2021 (13 Ashad 2078 BS) to consider and approve proposed amendments to the FIPMO Statute.

The proposals had been developed by the Executive Committee based on discussions held during the Annual General Meeting on 3 January 2021. The EGM endorsed the proposed amendments and authorized the Executive Committee to engage a legal firm and undertake the necessary process for registering the amendments through the District Administration Office (DAO).

The EGM also provided an opportunity for members to discuss FIPMO’s role and contribution to Nepalese society. Members shared perspectives and suggestions based on their diverse professional experiences.

The Executive Committee also undertook a review of FIPMO since its establishment. The review was intended to inform further discussion at the General Meeting and provide a basis for updating FIPMO’s Strategic Plan and Work Plan, as appropriate.

The final amendments to the Statute were subsequently submitted to the General Meeting for information.
