Usually “Passion” is inherited by the children from their parents. However, in case of Dr. Surendra Bahadur Panday, Secretary General, FIPMO -Nepal, it happened just opposite. After his retirement (with more than 35 years of national and international professional work experience at various responsible positions) at the age of 65, he inherited ” the Biking Passion” from his son Bunty (Suraj) instead. Recently from 14th April to 25th April, 2021, he took-up a riding trip to Upper Mustang mapping upto the elevation of 4,600 meters at Korola Pass: Nepal – China border. The route covered Kathmandu – Pokhara – Magdi – Tato Pani – Lete – Jomshom – Kaghbeni – Mukti Nath – Lo Manthang – Korala Pass and on return encompassing a number of treking routes, interesting places of natural, traditional (inclusive of Ghandruk), historical and relegious importance, and challenging riding trails both technically as well as climatically. Those places where riding was not possible the team drove and where feasible they rode on variety of challenging single trail, jeep track and mountainous roads. Dr. Panday has posted some pictures taken during the 12 day riding trip that will let the viewers to feel about the beauty of the trip that he had enjoyed the most with his team. It was a dream ride for Dr. Panday for which his age could not become a barrier to accomplish without any problems.
